Plant High School in Tampa, Fla. in 2015...batted .484 with a .581 OBP and 10 home runs as a senior en route to receiving 2015 Florida Gatorade Player of the Year honors, an award that has been won by Derek Jeter, Chipper Jones, David Price, Roy Halladay and Lance McCullers Jr...was a two-time Tampa Tribune Baseball Athlete of the Year award winner... His older brother is former Astros outfielder and current Braves outfielder Preston Tucker...Kyle broke Preston's Plant High School record for most career home runs by hitting 31 in his career... Was selected by the Astros with the fifth overall pick in the 2015 draft...was committed to the University of Florida, but chose to sign with the Astros and scout John Martin... Is signed to a one-year contract that runs through the 2018 season...was invited to his first Major League Spring Training as an NRI this year.
