ATLANTA -- Justin Upton exited Tuesday night's game against the Phillies with a bruised left triceps muscle. The Braves said his status is day to day.

Upton was hit above his left elbow with a Kyle Kendrick fastball during the first inning. He remained in the game for the next four innings and grounded out in the fourth. But when the sixth inning began, he was replaced by Ryan Doumit in left field.

Upton entered Tuesday having hit .286 with 26 homers and an .875 OPS.
