The ruling came with the game tied, 1-1, one out and Yasiel Puig up to bat. After Alex Wood walked Puig, Adrian Gonzalez grounded out to end the scoreless inning.
Gordon had increased his Major League-best stolen base total to 48 during the first inning. The overturn on the replay accounted for just the 11th time he has been caught stealing this season. Braves catcher Evan Gattis had thrown out just nine of the previous 42 opponents who had attempted to steal against him.
Gonzalez was unsuccessful when he rolled the dice on a second challenge late in the game, hoping to get a pickoff of Jordan Schafer at second base erased in the 10th inning.
That review lasted just 32 seconds, and the quick trigger on the challenge was likely a product of Gonzalez's frustration with Schafer's careless baserunning.
