Second baseman Jose Peraza, the Braves' No. 3 prospect, collected four hits Tuesday and Double-A Mississippi defeated Montgomery, 7-4.
Peraza, ranked No. 99 on MLBPipeline.com's Top 100 Prospects list, went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a stolen base and an RBI. It was the fourth four-hit game of his career and second of the season.
Third baseman Kyle Kubitza, the Braves' No. 9 prospect, went 1-for-5 with double, a run and an RBI and shortstop Daniel Castro added five hits.
Peraza began the season with Class A Lynchburg and was promoted to Mississippi last month after the Carolina League All-Star break. In 17 games since his promotion, he is hitting .342/.375/.474 with seven stolen bases.
Peraza was leading the Carolina League with a .342 batting average when he was promoted. In 83 games between the two levels this season, the 20-year old is hitting .342/.367/.458 with 42 stolen bases. He leads all Minor Leaguers with 123 hits and is tied for third in stolen bases.
