Braves and Brewers Announce Two-Player Trade

The Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers announced today that the two clubs have completed a two-player trade. The Braves have acquired minor league left-handed pitcher Tom Keeling from the Brewers in exchange for third baseman Juan Francisco. Keeling will be assigned to Double-A Mississippi.

Keeling, 25, has appeared in 105 minor league games (all in relief) over parts of four seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers. Originally drafted by the Brewers in the 18th round of the 2010 June free agent draft out of Oklahoma State University, Keeling has appeared as high as Double-A Huntsville in the Brewers organization. Over 17 relief appearances this season with Huntsville, he has fanned 19 batters over 17.0 innings pitched. In 2011 with Class-A Wisconsin, the Texas native held Midwest League opponents to a .194 batting average, including .042 (1-for-24) against left-handed batters.
