LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Paul Maholm appears ready for the regular season.
On Thursday, the Braves' southpaw extended his streak to 24 2/3 innings without allowing an earned run.
Over his last five starts, Maholm has allowed four unearned runs on 16 hits in 24 2/3 frames, while tallying 18 strikeouts.
On March 11, the 30-year-old limited the Nationals to two hits in five innings. Five days later, he blanked the Yankees over six innings, while yielding two base knocks.
Acquired from the Cubs in a trade last July, Maholm went 4-5 with a 3.54 ERA in 11 starts for Atlanta last summer.
