Atlanta Braves Make Spring Roster Moves


The Atlanta Braves trimmed their spring roster by 10 players today, as three players were optioned and seven players were re-assigned to minor league camp.

Right-handed pitcher Cory Rasmus was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett, while right-handed pitchers Juan Jaime and Aaron Northcraft were optioned to Double-A Mississippi. 

Pitchers Ryan Buchter (LH), Yohan Flande (LH) and Gus Schlosser (RH) were re-assigned, along with catchers Luis De La Cruz, Braeden Schlehuber and Jose Yepez and infielder Joe Leonard.

Atlanta now has 48 players remaining in its Major League camp.

The Braves begin the 2013 campaign on Monday, April 1, against the Philadelphia Phillies at Turner Field (7:10 pm, Fox Sports South).
