Pinch-hitter Hinske ejected in eighth inning
ST. LOUIS -- Atlanta pinch-hitter Eric Hinske was ejected in the top of the eighth inning after he was called out on strikes by home-plate umpire Mike Muchlinski on Friday.

Hinske tried to hold up on a two-strike pitch from Cardinals reliever Mitchell Boggs and Muchlinski ruled that he went around. Hinske immediately turned around and went face-to-face with Muchlinski.

It was the second ejection of the season for the Braves. Manager Fredi Gonzalez was tossed on May 3 by umpire Chris Conroy.
